Assaults & Polling
interesting article written in the la times today, posted on drudgereport, that says bush admin is holding off 'major' assaults in iraq until after election.
imo, they could have written this article five months ago when the politico weak knees starting listening to polling instead of what their officers on the ground in iraq were saying.
thing about this is that kerry cannot use this against bush because kerry if given the chance will be much more 'sympathetic' to polling.
the real political danger bush faced over this issue (past tense) were people on the right (actually hawks is a better term) that wanted more aggressive actions and responses.
what we have, as i said five months ago, is an election coming up that has been treated very much like a game of baseball.
bush will be getting his closer ready soon and pray that he has enough to get kerry and his cohorts out. close game that it has been, i suspect bush has a closer that is a tad better than kerry's...........
but then again i am a cub fan
