amnesty for whom?
perhaps i am wrong, but it seems to me that the amnesty program being offered by the saudis to the 'rebels' indicates that the saudis are simply overwhelmed by the task at hand and do not have the means to effectively fight what is a subversive and very large group of people who want nothing less than to pull down the regime there. there have been certain folk around the world predicting civil war in saudi arabia for the past 15-20 years. i think we are beginning to see the foundations of the actual war which is breaking out there. i will predict here that we see a large scale action in saudi arabia carried out by the 'rebel fanatics' in response to this offer of amnesty within a few weeks. it will not be high intensity warfare, but probably a prolonged and protracted fight against the cells and outright populations sometimes that are convinced by the call of fanatics. this will not be a party that anyone else is allowed to participate in (no infidels). and my money will be wagered on the royal family to prevail.
