Some Will Be Certain To Say ' I Told You So'
chaos galore breaking out in gaza now, armed factions are running the show and have even taken to controlling the border entrance today. Al-Aqsa is apparently perturbed because one of their own is being held for suspected involvement in the abduction of foreign nationals. Allow me to point out the 'suspect' is being held by Palestinians and no one else.....
and as the story progresses:
and now this from the border between palestine and egypt.....

from ha'aretz:
RAFAH - Members of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, angry at the jailing of their leader by Palestinian Authority police, stole two bulldozers on Wednesday and demolished part of the border wall between Gaza and Egypt in protest, witnesses said.

needless to say the international soldiers down there who are supposed to keep order are keeping to the historic record of being nothing but toy soldiers who are not going to do a thing to maintain order. looks for things to get worse......
geez, it took all of what one month for all chaos to break out on the gaza border, this just being reported:

from ha'aretz NOW as the story builds today:
Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz on Wednesday voiced his deep concern over recent developments along the Gaza border, warning Egypt that if the mayhem along the border does not stop, Israel will be forced to prevent movement between Egypt and the Gaza Strip.
Mofaz issued the warning several hours after gunmen from the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades commandeered two bulldozers and smashed through a section of the wall on the Gaza-Egypt border to protest the jailing of one of their leaders.
Meeting U.S., Egyptian and Palestinian officials, Mofaz requested the Egyptians halt the uncontrolled passage of Palestinians and weapons into the Strip through the Rafah crossing.
-----------------------------
point is if we cannot put faith in the palestinians to operate a safe and secure border at Rafah, what point is there in allowing them any other power. there is no authority in the p.a. it merely one 'mafia' like enterprise vying against it rivals which clearly are in control of very defined turfs.
since gaza has been given back to the palestinians we have seen nothing but its best intention to mimic iraq.
the party is just beginning. sharon will win election with a mandate to make peace. but who do you make peace with exactly when there are ten people who claim that they are the ones who need to be spoken to?
sharon actually might not have the ability to pull off a deal with the palestinians because of this. can you hear a tree fall in a vacuum? BTW, a unilateral pullout of the west bank is not in anyones gameplan in israel.
it really is all starting to smell, the states are pressing the israelis to allow for elections within a week or so, this while hamas is showing that they are willing candidates to begin collecting trash and then shooting it over to the israeli side in a qassam.
this party is just getting started.........we are in for a heightened year of intrique.
